Body Lift

After significant weight loss, many people have problem areas of loose skin and fat, which may involve the upper arms, the thighs, hips and buttocks. Often, the problem is limited only to excessive fat accumulation in localized regions and this can easily be treated with liposuction.

In other patients however, the problem is more complex and involves not only excessive fat deposits, but also a stretched, loose, flaccid skin. For these patients, liposuction alone is not an adequate treatment because liposuction does not diminish loose folds of skin. This condition often follows marked weight loss in which the patient has successfully reduced large stores of fat tissue but is left with significantly stretched out skin which cannot contract or shrink.

Body Lift surgery is intended to correct these problems and help people enjoy the rewards of their weight loss.  Read more about this surgical procedure here: body contouring after major weight loss
